Quite often you might get a call in the middle of the night to say your Security Alarm has gone off in your building. You drive to work in your pyjamas only to find out that the place is secure and that there has not been a break-in. You check through your building and discover that all is safe, so why has the alarm gone off, in most cases a vermin or insect usually a gecko has crawled across a sensor making it go off!
So how do you stop this from happening? You can:
- Spray the sensor with a surface spray (which will keep the spiders and cockroaches away)
- Smear a small amount of clear Vaseline on the sensor. Geckos will not walk on a surface with Vaseline.
